I would like to know what is the setting to be applied to BIOS in order the pc to boot from the pen drive. The brand of my pen drive is transcend v30 1gb. There are two setings in the bios. 1 usb hdd and usb zip drive. I want to know which one should be applied. I wanted to boot a linux from the USB drive.

I think u should set the usb hdd enable and don;t forget to put in boot priorty order.

I have done it already by googling it. As you rightly said boot priority order is the setting I was looking for. I booted Damn small linux and Pclinuxos. Both of them booted from the USB stick very nicely. Thank you. Reputations to you.
