I want to know which is the best DVD Writer right now .Am in Tamil Nadu,India

Get asus 1814blt lightscribe sata ,its best . Then the 2nd best is samsung 20x i forgot the model number. Keep away from lite on and sony

but some time back.. diGit voted Liteon DVD RW to be the best... seeing that i bought an liteon drive.. a 20x DVD RW... and its going on fine...... reading fine.... and writing fine too.... no probs till nw..

Go for Lite-On or Asus because they are the best rated DVD-Writers so far rated

Samsung is quite ok, but i think it still have tray problem...... Dont ever go for Sony as it cant read some discs when other brands easily can read it

lite on drives were good before but these days they are having lots of problems . they are very noisy too . sounds like a mixer grinder when u burn a cd or dvd in it

My friend's Liteon cant read cheap dvd-r, only branded stuff like moserbaer etc.
Dont EVER go for sony. It sometimes cant even read the disks which it wrote.

My Sony worked well for exactly 1 year and just 3 days out of warranty it fails to read properly.....tried cleaning lens etc...no avail.
....Grrrrrrrrr.........
