Benq Warranty statement confusing and misleading!PLZ Share your experience!

Benq says that they offer warranty from the manufacturing date or Date of invoice WHICHEVER COMES EARLIER Does this mean i lose 1 year warranty if the product was manufactured in 2013?

From Benq Website
LCD Monitors
39 months from the date of manufacturing or 36 months from the date of
invoice (POP) whichever is earlier

How am i supposed to confirm the date of manufacture if the product is not in stock or if i plan to buy online?

Does any one have experience with this?Samsung too have similar warranty policy.

Just a got reply from Benq.They do provide warranty even if the customer un-knowingly purchased an old stock product,if the invoice copy is produced.
