hey hello guys i owe a Sansui 32" LCD. usually i connect my desktop with it with the VGA port. but while I'm gaming on it it shows frequent lags. I don't know what is the problem, i want to get it sought out! i checked the specs of my LCD and found it to be of 60hz(refresh rate), so i was thinking is this the real culprit? if no then what could be the reason?
here are my system specs
AMD A8 3850 2.9ghz
Asus F1A55 Mlx plus
corsair 4GB vengeance DDR3 1600mhz
corsair CX-500 PSU

its not refresh rate but response time on which lag depends assuming other things are alright(game/system settings, processor, gpu etc).however any recent lcd tv should not face such severe issue of lagging because of response time only.try older games/low settings to see if the issue is still there since A8-3850 is not exactly a graphics card to play games in high settings at fullHD on a 32" screen.

whitestar I'm using a resolution of 1024X768 and the lag is of a sec or two. i have tried to play CS 1.6 , NFS most wanted, COD:MW and MW2. they all lag!:cry::cry:

that is strange.mention exact model no. of your lcd & if you have the manual see what is the response time.it should be mentioned in specifications(alongside contrast ratio etc).in the meantime if possible try another monitor/screen to see if lag is still there.also 1024*768(4:3) resolution is bit strange for lcd tv.try running games in 16:9 widescreen resolution.

6.5ms is fine for gaming.most probably something wrong with other settings.did you try running games in 16:9 widescreen resolution?also check that your lcd is set to its native resolution only & nothing else.usually all recent lcd tv's have 1366*768 or 1920*1080 resolution.

well then only option left is to try with another monitor/screen.does the lag occur only during gaming?try linux live cd/pendrive(preferably ubuntu) & try some inbuilt game & also try windows 7 inbuilt games(cards rapidly moving) to see if these lag too.
