Ignorance is BLISS !!
I have installed XP in the C: (80 GB) and I use live Linux CD (Knoppix) for my linux experiences !
I organize all my personal files properly in My Documents !

But the problem is that whenever I have to reinstall XP (I reinstall only when it is impossible to boot into XP), I have to install Win2000 over it, copy My DOCS to another drive (the one kept for games) and then format C:\ and then install XP and then copy the files all over again to My Docs of the new installation !

Isn't there any live CD which can save my time by allowing me to copy the files without installing win2000 ?

I don't want to store my files in any other drive except My Docs !

Better to try the XP repair option before doing all that. Stupid suggestion I know, but that can save a lot of time.

Well, a good solution would be to use your Knoppix CD as first aid. Never done this myself, so I'm not sure. Anyway, first of all you need to enable NTFS support in Knoppix. For that, check out this page:

Now once you have writable access to NTFS, you can copy MY DOCS to D: or any other NTFS drive before reinstalling XP.

Do tell me if that works..
