3) What are the different alternatives do I have for light on keyboard ?

Back-lit Gaming Keyboard:

Logitech G105
Logitech G110
Razer Lycossa
Microsoft Sidewinder X6 (if you can find one).

Logitech G110 should be the best among the above lot. Costs around 4-4.5K. G105 is a stripped down version of G110 @ 3K.

Basically, G105 was introduced by Logitech as a Call of Duty flavored keyboard. It is a full keyboard with 6 macro keys and backlit keys. The keyboard is now marketed without the CoD logo, and with blue lights, instead of green.

It is pretty much a younger brother to G110, with most of the core functionality intact - the differences being in backlight options (G110 has more colors, G105 has blue light with variable intensity). G110 has 12 macro keys compared to 6 on G105.

While I don't own a G105 personally, one of my friends has it. The feel of the keys is okay - but frankly, after using K60, membranes just feel wrong. I found the backlight intensity okay, but my friend often gripes about it - so it comes down to personal taste I guess.

Both G510 and G110 are both good keyboards. G110 is solid bang for the buck. However, I find the G510 too gawdy and gimmicky. My personal opinion is that spending anything above 4K on a membrane keyboard is not worth it. Better to spend a bit more and get a mechanical keyboard.

If just the macro keys and backlit color is the difference between the two.I think it's better to go with G105.
or Is it worth spending extra 1k on G110 ?

In 3K range, G105 is best value for money. If lucky, you might get one for 2-2.5K. If the price difference between G105 and G110 is around 500, or you can get G110 for 3.5K, go for it.

If its worth spending extra for G110, I can buy G110..if not...I will go with G105

If you can shell out the extra 1K, go for G110 - more customizing options. Performance wise, they are both similar.

If you don't care about the bells and whistles, go for G105.
