its a branded "generic" psu which could have malfunctioned at any time. I doubt it can even provide a stable 500w output,let alone 700w

Nah! Cancelled the Ant Esports VS700L-700W PSU.
Instead taking, Cooler Master MWE Bronze 650 V3 230V 80 Plus Bronze 650 Watt ATX 3.1 Power Supply.

CM MWE is definitely better suited to your setup than the Vs 700L. Why did you buy the RX 6500xt and for how much?

RX 6500XT costed me, Rs.12499.00
Bought an AMD Radeon GPU which was the lowest Radeon card in Amazon,leaving aside RX550.

Kind of facing similar situation with a MSI A520M motherboard. Every time I try to power on cpu ez debug led lights up so my guess it's the motherboard which is unable to initialize the processor. Processor usually just don't fail .. they will give signs like stuttering, BSODs and unexpected restart. Only motherboards can behave more erratically like the issues you have faced. The bios could not retain it's date and time is the indication motherboard is causing the issue.

it now starts immediately and shows correct time. except that facebook delay issue, it shows normal behaviour. iirc on 13th, i have upgraded to windows 11 which occassionally feel slow or stuck but otherwise works fine. it appears the ghost is gone.
