automatic updates downloaded . where?????

My problem is regarding automatic updates in Windows XP Professional SP2. The program downloads the list of all the updates necessary for my pc but I don't know where these updates are downloaded, so that I would be able to make a backup of them and run each setup individually after I format my C: drive.

The updates mentioned in the " Automatic Update " are not listed in the download section of microsoft's website. What to do . Please help

The Automatic updates are downloaded in
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download

You can back up this folder and install when you needed
