dear friends,
I am facing a very irritating problem of automatic shut down and rebooting my pc and this thing happens only in gaming. normally it runs quite well like the web surfing, watching videos but when I play any game whether a new game or old game it shuts down and reboots. there is no fixed time of auto shut down. it may run the game for one hour or just two minutes. recently I changed my CPU. I have installed a quad core Xenon processor for almost 3 months ago. before this CPU, I was using core 2 quad E8500. my pc configuration is Gigabyte G-41 mobo, 5 GB DDR3 RAM, ZOTAC 560 TI 1 GB VRAM, GIGABYTE 600 W SMPS, XENON E5420 2.50 GHz QUAD CORE CPU, WESTERN DIGITAL 1 TB BLACK + SEAGATE 320 GB HDD.i can't understand what's going wrong ?previously my pc was working fine. please help me to solve this problem.
thanks

Install HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID & check temps every 1 min, especially of processor & graphics card.If the observed temps are different from when not playing games the issue is of overheating. If temps are similar then it may be due to psu not supplying enough power to system or some graphics driver issue.

now two are very different kind of things - if the pc just shut downs then it may the smps
But if it restarts - then it could be the cpu or ram or gpu.

Try These :
1. running your pc with 4GB single ram module only
2. Make sure you have moded the ( put the tape right way ) cpu in correct way.
3. Make sure your cpu is not overheating - cooler for E8500 won't be sufficient for Intel Xeon Processor E5420.
