not interested in Intel right now.

& plzz help me choose a good amd mobo. i'm really confused which 1 to choose. so many options.

Its not wise....only u r going to lose....
go with a brand which gives u a better product....(currently it is Intel-the situation may change when Barcelona comes out)...fanboyism and brand loyalty are absolutly rubbish....

i've never used AMD before but i wanted to try it out. i no intel is better but with my budget AMD would suit me more.

i find ASUS M2NPV NM great AMD budget motherboard !! Me and My friend got this mobo 3 days bck for 4.2k

its got Geforce 6150 onboard !! with Shader Version 3.0 !! this shader version should allow u play games coz i have seen many games ask for shader v 3.0 !! that's why edge over M2A !!

its got HDTV out !! connect ur comp to ur TV and enjoy !!
its also comes with firewire port !!

has 1 PCI ex slot !! u can later add gfx card !!

You Can easily connect your old ide hdd and new sata hdd with no problems just see that u read the manual nicely !! that's all !!

Processor, Motherboard, HDD, Cabanite, RAM, PSU

if this all you need ???? then do an intel man !!!


Core 2 duo E6750 - 8700
Intel g33 MB - 5500
Ram 1gb kingston - 1800
Seagate 250gb - 2700
Zebronics lava with 400w PSU - 1300

sounds good for me..........E6750 being 8k actually and if you are in mumbai or b'lore then good....u can get the above parts cheaper then mentioned

or go for E6550 @ 1k cheaper price........common this is like the best will beat ur AMD 5000+ hell

AMD 5000+ was for 15k budget upgrade dude not 20k

but i dont know if this onboard gfx is good !! and if u can play games on it !!

if not get 1 for jus 4k or may be 3k in dec....tht shld allow u play games nicely

if u r not goin to game then get a m2avm.. Cos the 690g outperforms the 6150se in normal gfx rendering.. The only plus of 6150 is sm3.0.. As clear as that

nope. it means total of 25K. but the other 5K i'm going to put it in buying a cell. so 20K left for the comp. but if neccesary i'll put some from the 5K into the comp buget.

oohh ya. 1 more thing. the mobo u suggested is ATXu form. i wanted a ATX form. i'm thinking to buy the mobo from ASUS.

did i mention that i already have cell & i'm going to sell it. in total i'm going to have a buget of 9K for my cell.but i won't mind decressing it. (aslo my dad is giving some money specificly for the cell ).

clearly NO Onboard GFX !!! Unless u plug in a Gfx card forget gaming.........so add a 8500GT @ 4k or find out how does 8400GS performes........if u want dx10 that is...also this low end card wont really perform well in dx10 games.....they will only fail

so check out some dx9 cards !!

if u wont play dx 10 games now........then go for 7300GT @ 4k good one
or better go for 8400GS only man !! or for 4k-4.5k u get 8500GT

dont worry 8400GS will do well for all your games !! enjoy !! u will like it and surely enjoy ur games !!

btw u better talk to Gfx experts on the forum..am bad at this !!

naa its got some over clocking options that's all...and that too no onboard gfx

and also only 1 PCI-E 16x u see............so what's the use

overclocking an amd is not recommended....again u need to pay for fans good powersupply..all add to cost !!

so its a bad option !!!! i jus recommend ASUS M2NPV VM for some time now seriously games ask for shader model 3.0..play with this till jan 08

Golden Tip : Save Money and buy a 5k gfx card in Dec-jan when prices will look good !!

yeah...what aks win says is true.......but my suggestion is dat u also consider ASUS M2A-VM....cuz my friend bought this board jst 2 days back coupled with a 4400+ processor n 512*2 ddr667, n tell u wht....the board rocks big time...we played nfsmw at 800*600 with all options turned on(xcept AA), n jst to test for any overheating issues, we played continuosly for abt 6hrs n still it didnt cross 39-41 degrees(under load)....so overall its really gud for decent gaming....think abt it...for the review chk dis out...*www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=376&type=expert

bro what abt ur 12th std studies ?? that's more dead important..........now say no to games and study nicely later u can buy a may be GeForce 16 16800 GTX when released after 6-7 yrs !! this sounds much greater option to me then any 8600 GT or 8800GTS for now

may be if u do well in 12th ur dad might buy u a 9800GTX or better..u can game in 1st year engineering....lots of time u will get...in 1st year !!
