I am going to build a new gaming pc...now i am in a dilemma either to go for
Asrock z77 prro4 or extreme3...which one is gonna be better option?
m gonna nbuy a 3rd gen ivy bridge i5 processor..

Then get Asus P8H77-V @8.4K
You won't be needing Z77 chipset board with that processor.

but i m gonna buy a hd7950 & i need to overclock that one...wht about gigabyte motherboards like Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H or Asus P8Z77-V LX ?

AFAIK, you dont need a Z77 board for overclocking the Graphics Card............ And Asus one is better off anyway, way ahead of Asrock.................
Gig D3H is also good, at that price............

Between Asrock pro4 or pro3 or extreme3 & the above gigabyte one which one will be better...?

Why not Asus ? Its the best mobo manufacturer out there. Using Z77 chipset for non-K series CPU doesn;t make any sense.
For OCing your GFX card, you dont need a Z77 chipset.

I think you should go for i5-3570k and the GIGABYITE-d3h board

Motherboard isn't related to overclocking the GPU, all you need is a good PSU.
AMong all the motherboards listed by you, Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H seems to be the best one.

It looks like you have some wrong conceptions.
TO overclock graphics card one need a good PSU and that's all.
To overclock processor (unlocked one) one needs certain chipset based motherboard.

If OCing then -

AMD FX 8350 + MSI 990FX-GD65



Go for AMD config at this price point.

FX8350 is better buy than a plain 3570 (non-K).
