Apple I pod touch battery cost?

Can anyone tell me how much will it cost to replace battery of 2nd gen of I pod touch?

apple may charge you over a 100$. if you try to replace it yourself, you will void the warranty. if you have 3rd party software, you will void the warranty. i think the warranty is one year from date of purchase.

i think its better you send it to some relative or friend in the US. there are companies other than apple willing to do quality repair for a fee.

i have no one is u.s so thats why i want to ask how much will apple charge me for battery replacement.
