Hi

I have this wonderful camera. But my rechargeable Uniross 2100Mah batteries get exhausted very quickly . I can take only 30-40 shots.

Could somebody suggest me gud rechargeable batteries so that I can take at least 150-200 pics

Thanks
Sumit

i am having A590 from little over 2 years now, i use this when i am not carrying my nikon D90.
I use pair sanyo 2600mh batteries and get about 160 to 170 shots without flash and and about 100 with falsh (batteries are about 1.5 years old now) when new i used to get 200+ without flash.
I mostly shoot with Aperture priority with custom white balance.
with chdk in raw i get about 125 shots without flash.

Hi,

Try with new batteries and preferably 2500mAh or higher, if any.
Some batteries(Note : Some) drain out faster when used few days after charging than immediate use. So, check this way out.

2000 Mah is bit less go for atleast 2500 or 2600 mh
in all modes flash can be off except auto with flash, in all other modes just press the flash button till on screen you get flash off indication

it will enhance the functionality of your camera, will give you what cannon has hidden in camera without any drawbacks. like optical zooming with auto focus in video mode which cannon has deliberately hidden in this model, or RAW shooting.
