any free dos laptop within 50k?

m looking for a free dos laptop since my college provides free microsoft OS. any brand will do.

my preferences are:
1. free dos (will be installing windows 7)
2. 9 cell (how much will it cost to upgrade from 6 cell battery?)
3. c2d 2.0 atleast
4. not more than 2.3kg
5. 13.3 or 14.1 inch screen is fine.
6. will upgrade to 4GB RAM atleast
7. minimum of 250GB HDD
8. multi touch pad will be great although m not sure which brands provide this feature except apple and lenovo

try zenith laptops the one i m using & bought in april 09 is
core 2 duo 5800
4 gb ram
512 mb 9600 nvidia card
although it is 6 cell
but costs around 40k giving u enough margine in urbudget to upgrade
good thing abt it
finished wolfenstien n playing cod4 online without any prob

thanx dude. really appreciate ur reply but the processor is too low. m looking for atleast c2d t6500. thanx again

zenith is now shipping quad cores starting soething near 30 k
n dudu google it as it aint a problem, a sort of laziness
 
Quad Core laptops near 30K ? :shock::shock: Its impossible. Gimme the link.

Buy it, and with the remaining 6k, upgrade RAM to 4GB, (1.3k cost), see if you can change to 12-cell batteries.

Best option for you.

well zenith is not disappointing at all
i can play most of the games
but acer launched a new one @45k that won best buy in digit which comes with even better config n ofcourse better nvidia too

With that budget, I think you can optimize Dell Studio 15. This one is a superb model and has a stunning design and form-factor. Also, you will get free upgrade to Windows 7.
