Right off the assembly line
i have a pc with 1.8 ghz processer, intel chipset and 512 MB ram. i have XP SP2 installed on two different partitions. in one installation i have symantec antivirus corporate edition. in the other i have norton internet security 2005. i regularly update both these editions. recently i had to format the partition having symantec anti-virus corporate edition. i re-installed XP with SP2 and again installed the anti-virus and updated. since then as soon as i connect to net through this OS i'm getting error messages that the process liga.exe is infected with trojan9.xxxxx.xxxx.xxxx. and the process needs to be stopped. after this if the process is stopped, the net though is connected it is becoming ineffective. also i no longer have any control over the programs running. when i scan this drive with norton anti-virus i don't get any virus detections. also along with the process, symantec av shows some .htm files that are infected with the same virus. how many times i take action to resolve that issue, as soon as i reboot and connect to net it again shows the same error. re-installing OS is not a problem for me. but what if the problem persists? is there any other way to get rid of this virus? trying other anti-virus software's don't do fine with me as i'm obsessed with symantec product's *gfx4.mail.live.com/mail/11.00/updatebeta/emoticons/smile_regular.gif.
Please advice.

try other Anti-Virus for removing them.

you may try Free Active Virus Shield. (it uses Kaspersky AV engine).

or try AVG Free.

if paid , then you can go for Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky AV.

for AVG paid & free version go here- free.grisoft.com
