Was thinking to buy Pantech Burst earlier but that plan has been scraped for some personal reason.

Confused between Huawei X5 Pro ( a great phone in all aspects from what I have read in this forum but getting one now seems impossible since its out of stock), Xolo A700 ( great screen but marred by non existent dev support and poor battery life) and the original Huawei Ideos X5 . Which one would be better , or is there any other better models out there?

I would like to mention a community support is a must for me and therefore the factory os doesnt matter at all

if you want a fast mobile with custom rom, Huawei G300. Will cost 9-10k but even Android (4.2) Jelly Bean rom is ready.

PS: Huawei Ascend G300 - G300.MoDaCo.com. Don't bother searching in XDA.

Thanks for the Link but unfortunately my budget is strictly 8K. Also, i couldnt see much difference in terms of specs between Ideos and G300. Can you tell me if the X5 Is a good buy at this point? I Saw the cpu is overclocked to 1 Ghz in some custom rom from XDA and are there any more differences apart from the X5 and its pro counterpart?

X5 Pro: can record 720p video, has Qualcomm Scorpion based processor with Adreno 205 (better than Adreno 200).
G300: bigger display, has ARM Cortex A5 (Scorpion is faster) with Adreno 200.

rest everything same. but if you are going for X5 (without the "Pro" moniker) just make sure it has custom rom. AFAIK, X5 Pro based custom rom won't work in X5. And with X5 Pro being launched, X5 may have lesser and lesser development.

X5 & X5 Pro are same except X5 Pro using a higher clocked chipset (name changed but internal is same).

@ sam : can you recommend any cases/covers compatible with this phone? Im having a hard time with all the dust here :/ and there are no cases/covers available anywhere. If there is some case/cover for another phone which can be applied for my phone too, I would be grateful if you inform me about it

i don't think it'll be possible to find a native case for X5 Pro as it is discontinued and also because of the peculiar shape making it a hard fit for mobiles. Huawei G300 too has rounded bottom so if you come across a case for that mobile, it should fit X5 Pro too but narrowly.
