almost 90% on this forum will suggest you to buy Moto G 16 GB model. It's a good phone if you are OK to live with limited memory of 16GB. Else wait for some new phones which are to be launched soon with better specs.

motorola servicing sux. my 1 yr old fone started loosing charge in 1 day, all they did was change the battery, which, obviously, did not work.

Why are you guys suggesting Moto G with a budget of 20k??

Xperia SP has better GPU, camera, looks n better after sales. So its a better option.

I'd a motorola earlier , their service really is worst , so no for motorola for me.
I'm inclined towards xperia sp though.
are there going to be some new models launching ?

I'm thinking of increasing my budget to ~25k. Will xperia ZR or ZL be a good choice?

ZL has to be the winner here as it is like an elder brother to SP. The main difference will be camera, RAM and screen size and the processor(ZL has the better of all 4). ZR will provide you with dust resistance but I don't think you are willing to sacrifice performance for that so I would go with ZL if my budget is ~25k.

Both are Good choices at 25k.

Go for ZR if you want a Sturdy tough phone.
Go for ZL if you want a beautiful-looking phone.

Seems you are a sony fan. Nothing wrong.
Xp SP for 20 k and ZR for 25k are good choices. ZL mostly out of stock.

Also have a look at Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, SGS3, Lennovo K900, Vibe X, Gionee Elife E6

Both ZR & ZL have same camera & same performance.......

Difference:
- ZR has water & dust resistance with great battery life but with 720p display
- ZL is a compact 5" 1080p screen phone but battery life is average

you could get the lenovo k900 within your initial budget
but the main disadvantage is that the phone only has android 4.3 and does not have any development on xda , otherwise the camera is superb the screen is 1080p looks good

you can get it from here - *www.amazon.in/Lenovo-K900-Steel-Gr...F8&qid=1398159876&sr=8-1&keywords=lenovo+k900
18.5k a good option
