avoid lenovo at all costs- their phones dont get updates and are filled with bloat
no rom support as well
i suggest you get the one plus one or nexus 5 or 1st gen Moto X instead

kkn13 OnePlus is getting banned in India right? is it safe to buy their phone here? any other phones in this price range with Snapdragon 800?

My friend is saying for Lenovo vibe z k190:

The good

1.Screen Size (5.5 for some people and he likes it)
2.Processor(snapdragon 800)
3.Camera(13 MP front 5 MP rear)
4.Display (Full HD 1080)

The bad

1.UI software (comes with a lot of bloatware)
2.Memory (only 16 GB non extendable.)
3.Size (for some people)
4.Late / No updates

I do accept that it comes with a lot of bloatware and memory is also not great but at this price point will be difficult to find an alternative.

at 22k OPO is the best option and the ban will be lifted soon (same happened with Xiaomi)
the only thing is u will have to beg for invites and lucky

otherwise Nexus 5 is good choice also

perfectly safe. they'll resume sale once the whole licensing mess is over or when they finish work on their own Android OS.

I do accept that it comes with a lot of bloatware and memory is also not great but at this price point will be difficult to find an alternative.

try Nexus 5. 16GB cost 24k plus Android 5.0 without any bloatwares.

In case of Xiaomi it was most likely related to network. And AFAIK Note is still banned (ban lifted only for smartphones powered by Qualcomm chip). Whereas in case of OPO, it is about the OS and mayn't get over anytime soon.

its a temporary ban because they gave exclusivity rights for CM11S to micromax's CM phone- Yureka
they will have to ship it with another version of android- maybe stock, maybe a different version of CM
but the loophole to this is that they will mostly release a tool or something to flash CM11S onto it very easily so its pretty safe to buy
Im usually the first person to be skeptical of such newcomer phones but One Plus One is very very promising, its build ,look and feel is very fresh and very premium, something which puts xiaomi phones(redmi,mi3,mi4) down in my eyes

i thought the same way and bought 2 lenovo tablets ,believe me build quality is great,
after sales, custom roms, rooting and the stock UI is a pain and isnt worth it
get one of the other mentioned phones imho

+1 to Nexus 5.

One plus one has some legal disputes in India. Better stay away.

the legal disputes are nearly resolved
it was because of MMX deal with CM/OPO
read my above post

Whereas in case of OPO, it is about the OS and mayn't get over anytime soon.

i heard OPO will be re-released in India with stock android or some other version of android(not CM) and that they will release a tool to flash CM11S onto it very easily

If you really want to be safe-Nexus 5 is a great phone

well to be true I am more tilted towards Lenovo due to its awesome camera (I have had first hand experience) and the screen size ,
as far as software is concerned I will root it to the basic anroid, is there any thing else I should be worried about (any issues with lenovo)

Nexus 5 also has a great camera, dunno about Lenovos camera
about rooting etc
i believe you are talking about the method mentioned here-
[ROOT]Lenovo Vibe Z (K910) | Android Development and Hacking | XDA Forums
if so i will still warn you because itll have very little support from devs and even official updates
end choice is yours ofcourse but personally given a choice,id take my chances with a one plus one or a Nexus 5 instead because ive had a bad experience with Lenovo before
one thing about Lenovo though, the finish of their devices is great to use without a cover for most of their models and build is usually satisfactory but if your gonna spend 22k ,the other mentioned phones are better options

There isn't any hardware problem on Lenovo phones. They are in the mobile business for long enough to know what they are doing.
The VZ is better in EVERY way than Nexus 5 and Moto X except software, it's a known thing anyway.
Still I would advice to check GSMA's comment section of the phone to see if there's any known problem or not.

^^define better,i dont see how any other phone(except OPO) can beat a Nexus in terms of software and build quality etc

Let me google that for you

Nexus 5 and build quality in same sentence definitely deserves a huge
