Hi ,

I am presently doing my BSc in Information technology ( 3 year course)

from Mumbai University.I am in my 14th (second year of the course).

In college I have done the following Languages,
Code:
1. C programming
2. Unix scrpiting

I will be starting Java and C++ from November in college.

I wanted to do some additional courses so I went NIIT and they
recommended that I do any of the following,

Code:
a) Core Java + J2EE
b) Vb.net,asp.net,XML,C#
c) Introduction to Oracle 9i : SQL+ VB.net

I am confused as to whether I am ready at this stage to do or should I do it after a few months when my knowledge increases. Thats why I wouldappreciate it if somebody can guide me.

Thank - You

If you take my advice dont go for these courses right now. Concentrate on what is being taught at this moment. C and UNIX are two very strong subjects. If you're good in them you can get a good job anywhere.
C language is pretty old but is used today also to test a persons programming skills and knowledge. I know now-a-days Java/J2EE is shinig(I am myself a Java/J2EE professional) that doesnt mean you have to master it to get a job.

If you are really interested for a course go for Java/J2EE course.
