Acer Aspire 5536 Mic problem

Hi guys, i have an Acer Aspire 5536 running Win XP SP2. I can't seem to get the microphone, line in and stereo mix i.e. all the input sources are not working. Can anyone help me please ?

did you put mic in the pink/red port?
Or is it inbuilt?

the mic is inbuilt....even so it still doesn't work with an external mic

Did you install properly install Audio drivers for it?
If yes, please try reinstall.

btw, what app are you using to record?

yep..ive tried it 3 times. i even downloaded the newest driver for it
