A Reliable Configuration.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans:The new pc would be used solely for surfing watching movies online/offline. Some medium weight applications like antivirus, adobe and stuff nothing heavy sort off. I don't play games:wink:. Basically its going to be a media center pc. Mostly the computer is being made as my present config has gone 8 years old and lags a lot.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:My budget is around 30K-35K max. Don't wish to spend more than 35 K.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows/Linux.....dual boot

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes.I want to use the PC screen as TV for my room please suggest a good budget screen with good resolution. Size-25-32 inch. Also suggest a good TV tuner card with remote. Monitor with HDMI slot preferable. Graphic card (budget) only required for HDMI support and good viewing of movies n stuff i don't play games at all so please suggest accordingly.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Components I plan to reuse-Keyboard,Mouse,speakers,DVD player.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:As soon as possible.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:I'll build it.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:I stay in Mumbai , can practically get any config at Lamington Road.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Am open to AMD/Intel. My previous config was Intel which gave my 8 years of hassle free usage so m a bit bent towards that brand. All I need is a good reliable config which wont give me a lot of issues and will serve me like my last config.
