Hello,

I have a Gigabyte GA G31M ES2L Motherboard which needs a pinless processor (whatever that is). Please suggest a medium low end processor that is compatible with the motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

Intel processors are placed in a LGA package which means "Land Grid Array" whereas AMD processors use technology called "Pin Grid Array". LGA design takes the advantage of Surface mount Technology or SMT, which enables components to be directly mounted directly onto the surface of PCB (Printed Surface Board). So Intel processors does not have any pin*en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printed_circuit_board
