a gaming computer for less then 35k? anyone help me out? :D

hey guys! i've been thinking about buying a computer that can play games and be an all rounder, you know??
the damned budget is till 35k, i have shortlisted the RAM.
its the G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) one. but the sheer number of the gpus, cpus, mobos is utterly confusing.
can you guys suggest a good mobo? a good gpu and a good cpu? there will be a bit of oc'ing in the future and yes also the psu...
the other components are decided already but if you guys know any good monitor supporting hd resolution under 10k then you can suggest it too. i dont want the current lg because of its very poor contrast levels.

Ans: to play games like ac3, crysis, skyrim mass effect 3, halo 4 (if arriving) at maxed out settings, video rendering sometimes and general entertainment purposes

Ans: 35000 maximum

Ans:yes

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: windows 7 and in the future ubuntu and windows 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: maximum is 1 tb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want.
Ans: yes. 22 inches to 24 inches will do. 1080p should be supported. thats all

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: keyboard, mouse, external hdd, speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: december 2012

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: yes, i have built one. no, i will build this

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: assam and yes to both questions.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: a good psu can be recommended. and the motherboard should support sli, not crossfire.
ram is decided on G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) if there is any suggestion in the same price range i would be most grateful.

You need to extend your budget upto 50 for a really good PC.
For RAM : G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB make sure this is 1600MHz+
For PSU : Get ONLY Corsair or Seasonic > 650W
Processor : i5 3570k
Motherboard : GIGABYTE Z77X-UD5H
Don't know much about the other components.

Gtx550ti is simply not worth it.hd7770 performs better and is more power efficient.

^ Forget about phenomenal's suggestion when your budget is 35k. And you probably won't need a 650 watt psu either for a gpu in a 35k configuration. I'm on cell right now,so wait for someone else to post decent configs.

Oh and 550ti is a very poor choice as pointed out rightly by vkl.

Yes the HD 7770 is definitely another good choice but then it cots atleast a Rs 1200 to Rs 2000 more than the GTX 550ti and he has a budget of Rs 35K. You gotta consider everything and balance it.

Actually the thing with gtx550ti is that it performs on a level with hd6770.In some titles hd6770 wins while in other gtx550ti.The difference between them is not much.
Hd6770 gddr5 is available for around 6.2k and is also more power efficient making it the better option.
Overall at around 8k hd7770 is the card to get(if one can find one),considering the fact that hd6850 is not that easily available below 9k and also it is hard to be found.

And the GPU should be Nvidia's since i'm going to do a dual-GPU setup. my earlier one is a 9600 gt geforce.
and any good sub 10k monitors? that supports 1080p??

When you are going for a locked processor i.e. you are not going to overclock then you don't need a Z77 motherboard.Look for h77/b75 mobos
With the budget you have mentioned,you can get some mid-range cards which are not that suitable for dual-GPU setup.
Instead of going for 2*gtx550ti one can go for a single hd7850 which would be much better solution.The dual gpu might not scale well in all scenarios.
Moreover a single hd7850 would be much more power efficient.In most cases the single hd7850 would deliver more framerates than 2*gtx550ti.
Also there would be no micro-stuttering in case of single GPU.
For dual GPU setup from nvidia's camp the cheapest solution that looks somewhat good is 2*gtx560.Though it doesn't look that good considering newer gen cards.From AMD's camp hd7770*2 looks somewhat good(subjective) as a starting point for crossfiring.Even this won't be recommended by many for dual-gpu setup.The cards like hd7850 or higher are worth crossfiring.

First decide whether the total budget for the config is flexible.With the selected mobo and processor(by you) with the given budget there won't be much left for a GPU which is worth dual-GPU setup.And as for your preference for nvidia,from a budget of 3-9k as of now there is not a single recommendable card from nvidia over radeon counterparts.

Realistically speaking you will have to increase your budget by Rs 11 to 12000 to get a Z77 and K series Intel processor.
