A decent laptop for 35 K ?

Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen




3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: HP, Asus, Lenovo, Dell & Toshiba
b. Dislike: Nothing of the sort.


4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

Ebooks Reading, SAP,Moderate Multimedia Editing (Adobe Audition CS6, Pinnacle 15, Adobe Photoshop CS5 & After effects CS 6) Moderate Gaming (Like International Cricket 2010, NFS Most Wanted, Sega Rally Revo, FIA Rally championship & Virtua Tennis 4)


5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

Anti -Glare Screens - Sorry am not much informed in this sect.


6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)

Only some,

1. The Laptop should be decent and reliable and the brand decent enough to provide service for 4 yrs.
2. This may be purchased either Online or at local (Chennai) using finance options.
3. After spending a full day at this site, considering to buy HP Pavilion G6 - 2005AX Laptop.

I know am looking too much into this, but hopeful of getting your favourable replies :)

Hp G6 2005ax should be good enough for your purpose.The apu based system should be better than an i5 bases sytem with hd 4000 in Photoshop functions that can make use of OpenCL acceleration.
Also in gaming 7670m >> hd4000.With the inclusion of Win7 and USB3.0 ports it looks better overall package which is suitable for your workloads at that price range.

@ VKL : Thanks a lot. Considering to buy the same. But am owning a Win 7 Pro, so thinking of a model which has no bundled OS. Also an advice on the local purchase in Chennai is very much appreciated :)

you can check Asus K53SM if you want one without OS but it is priced at 39-40k and other than having a better processor, nothing else to brag about. Best is to pick the one you have selected as nowadays most laptops ship with Windows.
