I had posted this 2 weeks ago but didn't get a satisfactory reply, so I'm posting this again:

Looking at the digit motherboard shootout I've decided to buy the MSI k9AGM motherboard which has an HDMI port. My sole and topmost requirement is support for a resolution of 1440x900. This b'coz I've got a 19" wide LCD a month ago & my motherboard doesn't support its native resolution due to which I'm working on 1280x1024. I don't like the stretched look and want a cheap motherboard which can solve my problem. Will this motherboard support this resolution?

Please note that my current mobo doesn't have an AGP slot, forget about a PCIe. So I can't buy a graphics card to solve my problem, besides, I also want to upgrade to a dual core.

any current mobo with onboard gfx will support widescreen resolution. The motherboard you have chosen is a very capable mobo..but if you dont need the hdmi function you can go for the non hdmi version of the same and save about 1500/-
