These guys have tested the 2 gfx cards by zebronics and say that the two give equivalent performance at the 1280x1024 resolution.

^^^ Those cards are obviously NOT meant to be used at a 1280x1024 resolution. At that resolution, the graphics will be severely CPU limited. A minimum of 1920x1200 will be required to determine the performance difference...

But I see your point, those having a lower resolution monitor would not want to buy the 640MB version but still want to play DX10 games.
