6600 or 6800

guys i am buying a new rig.
well my budget is about 10K(expandable at extremes otherwise fixed)

well i have two cards in mind (pci-e)

1)nvidia 6600
2)nvidia 6800

can anyone direct me about this

please try to minimize the amount of the cards

The 6600GT would fall in that budget range(If you ought to consider the ATI Segment the Powercolor X800GT will cost you exactly the same as your budget).
6800 Vanilla must be around 14-15k (Not completely sure).
The 6800GT will be a bit extreme at 20k almost as same as Nvidia's latest offering the 6800GS.

a x800gt can comfortable beat a 6600gt.hence u should consider it.if u want a really good 6600gt consider the gainward golden sample glh or the leadtek 6600gt extreme edition.

powercolor usually are very good and generally avaiable easily. contact their distributor *www.mediatechindia.com.
also sapphire and ati's own cards are also good.

Sapphire don't have their Card stocking in India.The only one remaining is Powercolor.Earlier though there was Club3D too but Mediatech discontinued its production.

what about the guys who swear by nvidia and tell that the ati isn't as good as nvidia.

well i have seen the reviews and they too favour the nvidia cards

Ya go for XFX 6600GT 128 mb DDR3 for 9550 bucks!!!!, just got it. Am i getting over excited mentioning it everywhere hehe :wink:

:D Yes i read your other posts.

Im excited to as i got the FXF Geforce 6600GT 256MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCI-E for 12k with FarCry DVD bundled. Got so many games now to play and i dont have HD space to install. :shock:

go for PowerColor X800GT or Leadtek 6600GT.look no further get one of the card which shud come in ur budget.
