60k: Pure Gaming Machine

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming, Mostly upcoming high end games that can be played at high (or ultra?) settings

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 60k +/- 5k.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: min. 500GB with an SSD preferably, but not at the cost of a slower GPU

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, if budget permits a 24" or a 22" will do too

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Speakers + Mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Under 2 weeks

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Will do it on my own

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Ahmedabad/Bangalore, Local and online sellers, whichever is cheaper

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: This will be only used for gaming and should be future-proof for some time. Can cheap out on a CPU but the GPU should be quite strong. No SLI/Crossfire needed so MoBo can be cheap too.

Asking on behalf of a friend who will be buying the system.

Thanks for very quick reply. :)

What would be a good UPS to pair with this, just enough power to shut it down safely?

Thanks for the reply.

I think I'll go for the cheaper CPU, 4440 one. Since, the usage will never be CPU intensive. So that he saves money wherever he can.

Thanks for the AOC 24" one. He might just go for that if the price is not much of a concern.

As for the price going down on the R9 280x, when is it most likely for the price drop, so that I buy it at the right time.
