Hi
my friend has an Intel 865GBF MB with 256 Mb Ram of 333 Mhz Fsb.
the processor is P4 2.4 Ghz Prescot with 533 Mhz FSB.
NOw he wants to add more ram a 256 Mb stick of 333 Mhz Fsb to reun in dual cahnnel mode
now i want 2 know is it possiable
since Pro is of 533 mhz FSB and in dual channel mode memory will be running in 333+333 = 666 Mhz Fsb
so will they run in dual channel and if they what will be the frequncy
and what will hapeen 2 the extra 100 mhz ram will be pumping.

dual channel memory doesn't mean 2X333 MHz = 666 MHz, it doubles the bandwidth, the memory still works at 333 MHz

DDR333 is also knows as PC2700 DDR,as it gives 2.7 GB bandwidth in single channel mode, which doubles in dual channel mode, & becomes 5.4 GB, which compleately fill the 533 MHz FSB bus for pentium 4,

Pentium 4 loves dual channel memory, but AMD doesn't always need it,
