But, I don't think Samsung will release ICS update officially to this device, they didn't even release for galaxy s I9000 (original), and galaxy R yet.
You should try unofficially.

Galaxy R's ICS update is just around the corner... and if not thn the CM7 development is in progress for Galaxy R and CM 9/10 will follow soon after it gets a stable build of CM7....

If you can find Galaxy R somewhere(probably ebay) ~20k thn it'll be gr8.. it did get Wolfson DAC & Voodoo sound and a beautiful spec...
