Both..stock player doesn't offer equilizers settings..though stock player allows sharing song (like bluetooth transfer) unlike Nokia Music..but still jobs get done in either way

Might be..but I don't think so..all lumia wp8 should be same.. recheck..(I meant if u have just bought 520 n yet to explore it)..open nokia music..now if u go to settings directly u won't find any equalize option ..go to "my music" where u can see all ur local audio files.. Tap to play..now on current playing track page u will get "audio settings" under option situated at bottom right corner..n u will get equalizer n dolby enhancements settings.. Make sure u are listening through ur headphones.. Else those settings are inaccessible.. Let me know

Hmm..fw update may solve that problem..there seems no reason to skip the feature even though it is entry level phone..

How is the sound quality of Lumia 520? Through good quality headphones? Can it be used as a replacement of Walkman phone?

Yes.. It is not there for 520.

It is not very exceptional. Without equlizer update , i wont recommend it as a replacement for walkman.
