Hi All,

I have shortlisted 3 laptops within my budget.

a) Lenovo Ideapad S405 - 30K
b) Dell Inspiron 14 (3421) - 37K (Dell Inspiron 14 Laptop - Value laptops from Dell)
c) Samsung NP535U4C-S02IN - 41K

CPU Performance-wise, i think Dell is the winner because it has i5-3337U.
GPU-wise, i think AMD is the winner, although DELL has GT625M
L2 cache is much better in AMD-A8 processor (i think 4MB - Lenovo & Samsung model)
L3 cache is very good in Dell model

I like Lenovo Ideapad S405 for:
------------------------------
1) super sleek look & Trendy
2) less weight. its only 1.8kg
3) good value for money..bcoz its 30K
4) Less noise and Over heat is almost not a possibility here in this lappy

I like Dell Inspiron for:
------------------------------
1) 3rd gen core-i5 processor
2) Very good Service

I like Samsung NP535U4C-S02IN for:
------------------------------
1) Anti-glare Bright display
2) 8-cell battery
3) 1TB HDD
4) 6GB RAM
5) 1.3MP HD Webcam
6) less weight. its only 1.8Kg
7) Dual graphics (Radeon)

i read some reviews. Based on that
1) Lenovo S405 is value for money. but it is under-powered (slow system) and screen is complete Glare (glossy finish)
2) Inspiron 14 3421 is good looking model. but it carries a lot of weight. 2.2 or 2.3kgs. But as we know sales & service are the best
3) Samsung is a decent power packed machine for an Ultra-book. but some reviews say it has over-heating capability.. but dont know on what conditions .. is it like continous usage or...dont know what it is

Folks,
please suggest me. i dont know if it shud spend 10K extra in Samsung compared Lenovo S405.

OR

just blindly go for DELL. only thing is - need to live with the weight

or live with deficiencies of Glare screen and slow machine and gofor Lenovo?

Please suggest. Many THanks

Regards

what is your actual requirements for a laptop? is your priority cpu performance, gaming performance, looks, battery life etc?

overall id say go for the dell. amd cpu are quite underpowered even compared to i3. and gaming performance of 625m is a little less than the samsung however crossfire isnt that good so the 625m may still have advantage.overall considering price and performance go definitely for the dell.

i am looking for a sleek ultrabook within 40K. i dont mind if DVD drive is not there.. it should play decent gaming with Medium settings

still would recommend the dell among your choices. if you can compromise on the ultrabook there are laptops from lenovo with even 630m. either that or wait for haswell which is bound to release soon and the onboard intel hd 4600 is on par with 630m.

so, it looks like AMD A8 processor is no match for Intel's i3 or i5? and as expected Dell is the only laptop which is recommended :)

hmm.. ok thanks for your suggestions. it is helpful to me.
