Whenever i install windows xp, there will always be a connection installed called 1394 connection....
What is this?
Intel C2D E6300 1.86GHz
Intel DG965WH with G965 chipset
Seagate 80GB Hadrdisk
Nvidia 6200 geForce Tubro cache
a modem
hp psc 1100
Lg DVD RW 16x dvd writer
Sony Cd Rw 52x32x52x CD Writer

1394 is the FIREWIRE port and there is nothing to be afraid about it.We can also Lan using this port.It is used to connect devices like the USB port.
Either you have a creative Audigy card which have firewire ports , or your motherboard has inbuilt firewire.
Dont worry and enjoy the speed of firewire.
Use this port when you have to transfer Videos from your Camcorder.Its also called as a DV port.

Offtopic : is ur C2D 1.8GHz performance(considering only 1 proccessor) is it equivalent to Athlon64 1.8GHz(while doing testing Athlon 1.8GHz is rated as 3GHz)...
in simple i'm asking is C2D 1.8GHz(considering single proccy) == Athlon 64 1.8GHz ?
