5 things that I have learned from Video Games are

1. That even a ludicrously impractical and imaginary piece of object can put an indomitable sense of purpose in you, drives you mad to its procurement in the face of overwhelming odds, if the said piece makes you whole in character and spirit.

Example -- Chasing a last piece of legendary armor set.
Application -- Pushing hard work hours for the "extra annual incentive" which can help get you the last piece of expensive hardware for your complete gaming rig.

2. That vengeance is the purest form of inspiration at any given struggle in life. Coming back is never easy, but its worth it.

Example -- You're level 6 ass just got whopped badly by a level 9 Archdemon in a dungeon brawl. You level up, come back at 10, kick the loot out of that sum*****.
Application -- You got pawned by question-paper/unfair bell-curve/one-sided argument about a topic you don't know/bullies...and then...you come the fcuk back.

3. That saving is way more important that its told to. Save while you can.

Example -- you forgot to save after spending 2 hours to solve a deathly puzzle. And that puzzle was in a room which took you 30 mins of slashing and hacking through enemies.
Application -- You save everything, starting from your unfinished document, precious moments, unspent money...not because you cant do it again, but the regret is too great when you cant.

4. That you should always "Play The Fcuking Objective."

Example -- Straying too much kills you.
Application -- You cant afford to get distracted by flash sales and hot colleagues when you're aiming for that H1B and you know you could be unlucky.

5. That its of critical importance to remember where you come from.

Example -- A long and tiring battle with Tanks and choppers got your iron-sight aim rusty as hell. Don't feel shy to go back to DUST 2 in CS and take those headshots to find your reflexes sharpened again.
Application -- When everyone around you is talking big about their flings on a new car, gadgets or trip in Morocco, don't feel intimidated that you are inferior in sort of ways, remember who you are, who you used you be, what your capable of, brush up your confidence and rise.
