Problem with Partitioning HDD
Hi folks, recently I purchased one 80GB HDD by seagate. now while i went to partitioning every thing went smoothly except one glitche. thie partition with 10% capacity created each allocation unit with 4096 bytes while the partition with 20% and 25% capacity made each allocation unit with 8192...- tirthasanyal

hard disk problem
When i try to format a partition which contains windows xp sp1 using the command 'format drivename:' it gets stuck after 77% and message appears RECOVERING FROM ALLOCATION UNIT 1,319,098 and the number keeps on increasing .I RAN SCANDISK but i din't find any errors PLEASE HELP :(- perk_bud
