I have BSNL 1081 Plan. It is 8MBPS upto 60GB and 512KBPS after that. I have this plan from past two months. First month was really awesome and in second month I started facing problems. Now it has become worse.
Problems:
- Unstable speed: Speed is never 8MBPS, always. Sometimes its 1-2MBPS...
I'm using 1091 plan in Mangalore, Karnataka with 8 mbps speed upto 60 GB. I get a speed of 6 mbps mostly.
The DSL link is very unstable and there are frequent disconnections all day long at the most appropriate times :-x
SNR margin (downstream) is mostly less than 9 and goes upto max 17...
i have bsnl uld 850 plan but from 2 days my dsl is blinking constantly plz tell me is modem problem or line problem i post snr value
snr value is 18.5 (downstream) and 18.1 (upstream)
signal attenuation 41.3 (downstream) and 27.4 (upstream)
loop attenuation 41.3 (downstream) and 27.6...
SNR ratio is your line strength. The more the better. Too many joints, old telephone wire and noisy neighborhoods can bring down your SNR rates.
0-10 - very bad
10-20 - little bad
20-30 - good
30-40 - excellent
40-50 - congratulations, you live right next to the exchange
Attenuation is the...
Hi,
I have recently taken a MTNL connection. The connection keeps breaking often making it unusable.
At the best of times (night, early morning) I get these stats:
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin : 12.5 16.5 db
Line Attenuation : 41.0 28.8 db
Data Rate : 2048...
SNR (Downstream) 20.5 dB
SNR (Upstream) 19.0 dB
Line Attentuation(Downstream) 28.0 dB
Line Attentuation(Upstream) 13.0 dB
this is my result...please do comment on its improvements and all
I want to inform all the members of this forum the reason why i was getting disconnected constantly at regular intervals of 10sec-1minutes.
LOL
Somethings u should know

SNR margin is...
