reduce

My phone allows me to upload mid files not exceeding 40kb. i have some very good ringtones 2-3min long but are to large!!! Is their any software(freeware) by which i can reduce the ringtones length say to 30sec or 1min so as to reduce its size???

i need to resize all images in a folder to 800x600, better if I can reduce the size by increasing the DPI.. say 72 to 300.. anyway to do it as a batch? i have CS2
