jus got the MTNL connection in mumbai (512kbps unltd) i get around 50-60 kbps avg download speed. customer care, i dont think mtnl cust care is a 24 hr line. but so far no issues. if u have an mtnl telephone line, ull get the connection running within a week

HTC Hero is a good alternative to iPhone. n it does have an app store. Google has also jus opened an app store. but theres a chance it might be between 21-25k, so u might wanna spend some more. BUt its worth it

u might wanna go for Acer emachines or Champion Slim series netbooks. They both cost under 20k

symbian is the past, Android n windows mobile 7 are the future. HTC has some really wonderful andriod phones, HTS sense UI is one kickass addition. Hero is available in India and its a good alternative to iPhone.
