I need a quick answer/opinion real fast!
i got a 160 gb hdd with a new motherboard and amd 64 athlon 2800. during the windows setup it detected only 131069 mb(~ 131gb) although the bios correctly detects 160gb. i had posted this problem here...
the motherboard is pretty new.i ve just got a new computer with an AMD 64 2800 and an ASRock motherboard(K8Upgrade-VM800)
anyways i think i ve found the solution. i just have to try it out after installing xp. basically i need to install sp1 and tweak some registers. here are the links i...
i recently bought a 160 gb seagate harddisk( not SATA) . in the windows xp setup it shows me i have 131069 mb?...i know about the theory behind it that 1024 mb = 1 gb and hdd manufacturers use 1000mb =1 gb but is the difference so huge for 160 gb?
im assuming you are trying to compile a C code on UNIX?
you have to be more specific. what do you mean by -"compile and run a C program without editor"
if you are really interested in learning the intricate details of the language , then you must get "the C Programming Language" by Kernighan and Ritchie, the creators of C. get the solution book too-"the C answer book" since the problems of the book are really challenging.
Let Us C is a good...

good aint it!....i want to use the html code(its not a background image. the developer has done the ascii art in html) and make it into an image....how do i do that?is there any software/freeware for it?
been seeing lots of posts , people asking "which distro is the best" etc etc. the real question is "which distro is good for you". depending on your level of knowledge of computers and linux you would be comfortable using a certain distro.
here's an online wizard which will help you decide on...
i have an airtel dsl connection for which i use a router and a LAN port on my motherboard(not a card). things were smooth for 6-7 months. now when im online for say like an hour or so, the connection abruptly disconnects. when i try to enable it , the system reboots!
i dont suspect a trojan or...
i have a dual boot of xp and red hat 9.0. recently i reinstalled xp on C: leaving all other partitions intact. Now when i start my system i do not get the grup bootloader. how do i recover it back?
@swatkat- dude can you suggest me a free firewall with which i can configure a home LAN connection without any hassels....i mean carrying out ICS, file and printer sharing without any problems.....ZONEalarm (free ver) does'nt allow this and kerio is always causing some vague abrupt problem.....
is he your next door neighbour?
anyways if he is pretty close to you, you need:
a LAN port on each computer. if either of you dont have (or both!) then you must buy LAN cards and plug it in your mainboards. max cost. 400 rs(200 each card)
LAN cable to connect the comps( max 25 rs)
a...
heres a very rough algorithm you could use for the way you want to enter the variables
:arrow: keep a counter variable to count the no of values entered in the array. also keep two more variables to monitor the odd indices and even indices. and INITIALIZE em!!
:arrow: start the loop...
bullzeye tuxfan!..... couldnt disagree with you on that!...
@prasadmultiplex- hope you understood the mod operator as tuxfan explained it.... it is really important to get the mod concept right as it simplifies hell lot of problems in C...
in a nutshell: a%b (read % as mod) will return the...
hmm......that sounds plausibe ujwal....though i ve not tried it does your program sounds like the below code?:
i=0;
j=1;
while(i<=20&&j<=19)
{
scanf("%d",&data);
if(data%2!=0)
{
a[j]=data;
j=j+2;
}
else
{a[i]=data;
i=i+2;
}
}
yeah.....looks good.... my logic (previous post)...
@ujwal - i tried your technique..... there is a flaw....
for(i=1,j=0;i<6;i=i+2,j=j+2)
{
scanf("%d",&data);
if(data%2!=0)
a[i]=data;
else
a[j]=data;
}
say i enter an even no... then sure a[0] contains the even no but my j is now 3 not 1!!.... and hence a[1] will never get filled!
