the movie.. as you described it, is called out of sync.. it could be an inherent error with the video itself .. or you might have to check your player settings if its set to play all videos out of sync its possible to bring it back to sync .. you will have to read a lot though..

yes i have restarted the system many a times.. even ran hp-setup but it cant see any printers.. and 610c connects to the lpt port

i cant seem to find my 610c with System>Administration>Printing i added hplip/foomatic-gui/cups.. still ubuntu edgy eft 64 cant scan for any visible printers.. and yes my printer is sqitched ON during all these times.. any help will be greatly appreciated

like i said ntfs-3g is already installed and partitions on one hdd are working fine.. its just that 'file browser' freezes the system when it accesses the partition on the other drive and btw my ntfs-3g ver is 2006-09-20

first of all.. its cd-rw doesnt stand for read write.. its for rewritable.. back to your problem.. cdrw are known to have issues with standalone vcd players while playing videos.. other than that i cant help much
