That is the problem with mobiles. You wait for the price to come down for one particular model and there would be tens of other models with better features available in the market. You'll be again in a dilemma. Better get a handset now that you feel is more suitable for you.

One Samsung phone offers this projector feature. Don't remember the name (Wave?) But It'll overshoot your budget by a big margin.

Better go for Spice Popkorn. It's dual-SIM and you can watch TV channels too. Remember reading somewhere that it is available for 6500 INR. I am sure it is manufactured in China or Taiwan.

If you have to buy a new phone, will you settle with Froyo? I'm sure I won't. I consider future updates before buying a new phone. I'm sure that would be the thinking of other educated buyers too.

But still who would like to go for a phone still running on Eclair? Even Froyo looks dated now with Gingerbread coming into focus.

Exactly my thought. Wonder who will really buy this. Hero never got Froyo update. Paying 18k for being stuck in Eclair makes no sense. Better get Galaxy S Mini by paying 1k more.

Don't think so. They are targeted toward two different set of budget class. Optimus 2x is a high-end phone which might cost upward of 30k INR.
