dude...its true dat 7600gt does race ahead of 8600gt in sum games but mind u, they r dx9 titles...n tht issue is fixed by the current drivers for 8600gt...Also, in texture-intensive dx10 titles, the diff btwn 8600gt n 7600gt is abt 30-40%, with 8600gt ruling the roost here....so definately, go...

thts a perfect symptom of faulty ram wich happens commonly these days due to moisture as a reult of monsoon.....try cleaning the ram modules...also, if u hav 2, it s quite possible dat 1 of them must have bcum dead...so remove 1 at a time and test...all d best
