As per a leaked report, S3 will be getting Android 5.0 that's Key Lime Pie. LG lags behind in giving updates. Of course OptG is a bit more powerful but you won't be disappointed with S3.
Please be a bit more specific about your basic requirements. LG L9 is best VFM if cam is not your necessity. If you want big screen and/or dual sim, grand it is. What's your max budget?
Good choice mate. Pros over Nexus 4: Warranty, better cam, better screen and increased storage. And as the hardware's the same as nexus 4, you can always port any custom rom out for the nexus.
You need to be more specific with your needs here.
LG optimus L9 at 18k is the best VFM phone. Cam not very good.
Galaxy Grand if you prefer bigger screens and dual sim. Will need to increase budget.
You can also check out Xperia P, SL againif you can increase budget.
If strictly below 20k...

LG Optimus L9 as mentioned above. If you want to look at other options, you can check HTC Desire X (Good looks and cam) and Samsung Galaxy S Advance but L9 beats both of these in specs.

Had the exact same problem and I understand the frustration. Those lights can get irritating when not in used or at night when the room is dark. Could not find any solution so I would just use turn around the cam to face the wall (it helped that I hadn't stuck that up on the monitor) or just...
