After a lot of contemplation(like I always do) I went ahead with asus tuf b450m pro 2. It has good audio as per spec. Initially I thought of going ahead with MSI B550M pro vdh, but after seeing quite a few negative reviews I dropped the thought. Well I hope I'm right.
Anyway guys, thanks for all...
Can you guys suggest a good ASUS motherboard. I have a service center in my town and never had problems with a previous one that I had.
Also an MSI board has been suggested above. How good are they now. I had heard earlier that their after sales service is not that good.
One more thing: b450 or...
Ok. Update.
Did the bench test after which I took it over to a service center about 10 days ago. Today they called and said that it couldn't be repaired - something about the bios shorting out. Looks like a new motherboard for me then
No display at all i.e. no POST. It was working fine till the day before. Initially my case fan didn't work. So I cleaned my PC and tried again and it did start spinning. However still no display. Fans on all components i.e. gfx card, PSU, CPU are all working - so no problem there. I swapped my...
Ok. I am planning to carry on with my rig for at least another 5 years.
By AGAIN I was talking about the mobo on my previous rig. It was a Gigabyte one (don't remember the model) and it had to be replaced 2 years after purchase and it worked for 3 years before it gave up. All the other...
Ok. Sorry for bumping up this old thread. Seems like my motherboard (Asrock B450 Pro4) gave up on me AGAIN. Just a couple of weeks beyond warranty.
Please suggest a replacement
My specs are still the same - R5 3600, 16 gb RAM & RTX 2070. No overclocking.
Yeah. The motherboard was done for. It was also out of warranty and none was in stock. So I had to go the upgrade path. Bought a ryzen 5 3600, asrock b450 pro motherboard and 16 gb ram. Thanks for your suggestions here and in another thread (started so I could make the right choice for upgrade)
Installed Win 10 on my hdd. Somehow my second hdd stopped working. Checked it and found that it had a lot of bad sectors. After the next restart it stopped showing up on 'My PC'. Any suggestions on how to get it working?
I just downloaded the tool and patched win 7 installation file to an image.
So if I install the patched win 7, then I'll be able to use my usb drives. Is that correct. Because now none of the usb ports are working. Like I said, I managed to install win 7 with the ps/2 mouse but on desktop I...
Thanks. Hope it will support usb gen 2 also.
I initially thought I had a faulty motherboard.
Also ryzen 5 3600 temps as indicated in the bios is hovering around 65 deg (idle) - stock cooler. Is this normal? I did apply sone thermal paste but no change in temps.
Bought the Asrock b450 from prime abgb & ryzen 3600 and g.skill ripjaws V from itdepot. Total cost under 32k.
Also the Asus turbo 2070 rtx from Vedant (thanks to whitestar_99 for his suggestion. Saw it in another thread)
Tried to boot my win 7 installation of my old system. Didn't work so had...
Asus Turbo RTX 2070 is selling on vedant computers for 31k. It's a blower style card so how do you guys rate it. Since its cheaper (for the time being) than a 2060 super and should perform similarly.
Also are founders edition cards better than partner models? There are rumors that FE are better...
The reason I am going for an upgrade is because my current motherboard gave up; probably fried. I still do have my hdd (win 7). So I dont have to get a new win 7 OS. I did have compatibility issues with some older games & some softwares (freeoffice, printer driver) on win 10 (updated when it was...
The reason I am planning to go with rtx 2060s / rx 5700 is that I still wish to play at 1080p @ 60 fps avg with most settings at v.high even after 5 years (provided that ray tracing dont make the current gen obsolete)
1) Also, will an SSD improve gaming performance, i.e; higher fps? or only...
