don't know about that......... somehow I feel better reading off a PC..... I can just surf wikipedia or google for more engaging content regarding the subject matter (and that helped me concentrating..).... I did use these ncert ebooks during my school days...
Re: PC for web designer - Suggest One
I'm a web designer as well..... looking for a stable system at 50k (IMO, Photoshop should blaze away to glory on a 50k system :-))
here's the link to the discussions regarding my rig ...
LOL! :P
anywho.... I had one major query (along with a few provious ones that went unanswered...bleh...)
Do all these components play nice with Linux/Ubuntu?? It's gonna be my dev OS and kinda important that these parts play well with it....
heard DH67BL has some problems with Linux...
mine is pretty nice..... though haven't spent enough time with it to know fully..... it comes with Hybrid auto-switching graphics....... give arnd 1:45 at 80% charge.......
yep Full HD videos are a breeze....... and haven't had any problems with FIFA 11 or Hot Pursuit till now at max.....
I have a Vaio C and can run FIFA 11 and NFS Hot Pursuit at max without any stutter....... and the lappy looks cool...... you just can't beat a full HD screen.....;-)
XPS is also a good.... just that I find them quite bulky...... they server well as desktop-replacements...... but tend to be on...
Alright I guess I'm gonna go for this config only (with slight modification if required...)
One thing I wanted to ask..... my PC is gonna be put under some real heavy load (IMO, one time it took over 6 hours to render a image in C4D)... + I'm a heavy downloader, so the PC's on for 1 day or so...
I asked a shop about the prices...... here's what I'm getting :
Core i5 2500 @ 9500
Intel DH67BL @4952
1TB Western Digital @2452
Corsair RAM 4GB with heatsink @ 2400 (I'm guessing it's a dominator 1600MHz)
Sony DVD burner @ 1100
Corsair 600W @ 3890
ATI 6870 1GB Saphire @ 10500
BenQ V2420 24" @...
Needed : A good overall config for ~ 50K
Hi Guys!
I'm looking to buy a system for arnd 50k, One option I had was to go the branded way.... potentially get a Dell XPS 8300 for 58K (i5 2310, 24" monitor, 1 gig 6770)
Here's the questionnaire :
1. What is the purpose of the computer...
Yeah Black's a little expensive
So I'll probably be going for WDC Green
Now I have space for 3 hdd in my cabinet, 2 are already used(160gig and 250gig). If I add a third one, they'll all be had to toe (bad for cooling)
Also, I have 2-3 CD Drive bays empty, I could try and screw the HDD...
