Bought s8 today. The over hyped fingerprint sensor does not bother me. Great screen but battery life seems to bother me. Also the head phone jack placement is annoying.

Can you comment on durability. I read it is a very fragile phone. Forget back I am concerned about front glass. My s4 survived major drops without protection.

A Any other con which may effect daily usage. Also, there are rumors of s9 releasing early. Will it be a wise choice to wait a bit more?

Besides fingerprint scanner and durability is there any other deal breaker?

I will be probably buying by the end of this month. Just waiting for some heavy discount. I am planning to root from day 1 but worried about samsung pay. Is there any work around.

Yes tried on clean rom as well. Only certain apps crash mostly which i develop and test but only on my phone.

There are few apps which crashes after some extended use and then the wallpaper resets to stock one. I have rooted lollipop os. I have tried those apps on other phones and also on some custom s4 roms and it worked fine.

The vibration has not stopped completely. It has gone down to minimum so I am not still able to figure out what exactly the issue is.

My Galaxy s4 survived a fall while on bike. It is working flawlessly except the vibration has gone down. I tested with app, the motor is working but not like before.

The cost of replacement + repair goes around 6k. Already spend 7k+ before on laptop. Any alternative besides using an external monitor.

No. But it is visible only on static screen. Doesn't bother during gaming. And only bottom line flickers not the whole screen.

It is 4 years old. I am hoping for a software issue.

The bottom line of my asus laptop is flickering. I am not able to figure out the issue.
