Got the fault. Its my gfx card. I ran my system with my friend's 6600GT and its working fine.
Can it also happen that my psu cant handle the load of my gfx card(HD3870X2)?
......And my bad luck continues.
Yesterday night, my machine turned off suddenly. Motherboard got power as I can see my soundcard Supreme Audio FX II glowing blue. But as I press power button on my cabby, the psu (Tagan BZ 800 watt) and one of my cabby led fans (Antec 900) blinks and then turns...
U need to connect the 6 pin one from psu. Its the PCI-Express connector otherwise your card wont get sufficient power to run.
How much did the Dell 24 incher cost?
^^^
Yup all the PSUs high end of course that give above 80% efficiency needs true sine wave as input which APC Back UPS cant provide. Only APC Smart series is compatible with such PSUs but those UPS' are damn costly.
I blew my PSU Corsair 620 Watt using with APC Back UPS 1000 VA
Re: Post what you purchased.
^^ Congrats Vivek. Nice purchase.
@Royal
Vivek got it from Amazon via KMD, I am pretty sure. What say Vivek? That "TODPHOD" sticker is the proof, isnt it?
Amitash, I had the same problem. Not a problem of psu. The card is faulty. Get RMA as soon as possible. I burnt my previous card as in my case also, only one fan was running. U will see that if u manually move the second fan, it will also start running.
Bottomline : GET RMA ASAP.
Hey thats some important points to be noted. Hope someone can answer/suggest on these queries.
I am going today for RMA. Dunno whether I will get an RMA or not.
Hey thanx for the info.
Actually I heard that APC 650 VA was not compatible with my psu due to that sine wave problem. Hence, gone for 1000 VA. But still ......
