Pixelshader 2.0 not found

PC details: motherboard intel 82945G
RAM: 1 GB
Hard Disc: 160 GB
Processor: Pentium Dual Core 2.0 GHz



My motherboard is Intel 82945G and it has 128mb video memory + pixelshader v2.0. (i have confirmed this by running PC wizard 2008)

Now when i try running "Hard to be a god demo" (it was on Digit's april DVD this year) it says pixelshader 2.0 not found.
when i run "Pro evolution soccer 2008" it shows the same message with an additional ignore button which if i press the game runs.

Additionally GTA: San Andreas and NFS Pro Street also crashes after a black screen.

I have the latest video and audio drivers and direct x 9c.

what should i do? I have recently upgraded my computer.
should i call the computer vendor? ( i don't think he is such a geek)
Or should i reinstall windows xp?

Plz help.

AFAIK GMA950 doe not hav hardware SM2.0 support.it has hardware support for only PS2.0 but not for VS.VS and hardware T&L r software emulated.

how could i have run NFS underground 2 on intel 82845 chipset then??

1st install a fresh copy of XP SP2 if possible SP3.update to latest DX9.0c version and also use the latest gfx driver version.if prob is not solved then use a software called 3D Analyzer, sud solve ur prob.
if u still hav probs then better get a dedicated GPU.

3danaylser dint do good for me when i was using intel 915 . . sometimes , games used to run but with missing textures and most of the times unplayable. .

Can you tell me why pixelshader 2.0 is not being detected?
Pc wizard 2008 says my motherboard has it. Is Pc wizard not showing correctly or is it a intel's manufacturing error or something.

^^How can a mobo have PS2.0? Even FX5200 has PS1.1 Well to solve ur problem there is only one solution, get a dedicated GPU If u are doing that then ask us. In the meantime I will search if there is another option for you

dude ps/vs 2.0 can be emulated via software as bade bhaiya said...

^^^ thats the main prob with Intel onboards (except X3100).they suk big time in performance.

FYI: FX 5200 has sm2.0 (ps as well as vs)... though pipelines are very less delivering poor performance against ATi counterparts of those times.....

i have 3d analyzer and i tried to run the game but failed.

u hafta try diff options with diff games.theres no strict set of rules.mostly try enabling these:
1>ANTI DETECT MODE -> Shaders
if this doesnt work then try these:
1>Enble the 1st 5 from top under pixel and vertex shaders
2>also try Emulate HW TnL caps

try these and report.

Ok i tried to play nfs prostreet. unable to run though.

first tried only "anti detect shaders" alone. failed
then first five/six/seven/all under shaders with/without "emulate TnL etc. failed.

plz help yaar.
tell me if i am able to run the game, will its speed be that much so that i is still playable by turninig details low.

better get a gfx card dood.nothing can beat a dedicated gpu when it comes to gaming.

Ok now help for others who have the same problem (what these geeks do not know)
1. they are right - getting a gpu is a good option
2. The better one is to use 3D analyzer but u won't be able to figure out what options to turn on/off
3. The best one is to buy swiftshader 2.0 but no one wants to spend money.
So use swiftshader demo 2.0 . U will be able to run the game perfectly fine ( May have some performance issues)
