GPU Upgrade for i5 10400f; 40-55k

Brother they are unable to get their hands on MSI or XPG PSU, I've been waiting from a week.
That shop only assembled my PC and they give good prices so I'd prefer buying from there only.

If I only upgrade my CPU+mobo later on do i need a 750W PSU? I might also add a few hdds and ssds but that's all.
Unless you plan to get top end CPUs which can draw 250W (i9 13900K or i7 13700K), I don't see 650W being an issue.

650w is fine for a CPU upgrade. You can go ahead with it.

But say you want to upgrade to a beefier GPU later, like how you're doing now, and you may need a higher wattage PSU. So this is something you'll have to decide on.

Even in 3 years, I expect the new PSU standard, ATX 3.0, to become common. Most of us might have to change even PSU then.

12 pin PCIe connectors can draw up to 600w of power. I doubt that mid range GPUs need something like that. We're going backwards in terms of power efficiency, but it won't come to the point where 12 pin is adopted by every GPU.

Bought the GPU and PSU

Got Asus 6700XT OC for 37k
Antec HCG Gold 750w for 8.3k

There was an issue, PCI-E slot is blocked by the GPU and i cannot use my wifi card now. Is there anyway I could work around this issue? The card was worth 5k itself and i don't want to waste it.

Thank you everyone for helping me out!

Sadly I was unable to read this before buying but no problem, I'm very happy with the performance!! Also Antec has 10years of warranty so that's great in the long run!
Finally I have a proper gaming rig!!
I remember joining digit forum in 2014 and drooling over everyone's pc and now I have a pc worth drooling over :')
Thank you everyone again!

Will do brother!
Didn't get much Timex should do that this weekend
Also my router is very far from my PC so usb dongles don't get even okayish network.
Thinking to add a router as an extender and use ethernet.

Congrats.
On the PSU, my point was that the same 7k could be spent on a 750w PSU from online. HCG is still a good PSU, and there's certainly nothing wrong in having more watts.

For the Wifi card, if your motherboard has an extra x16 slot, use a PCIe riser/extension.

Post pics of that WiFi card blocked by GPU. My friend has a 2070S & using a PCIe WiFi card, but I think his mobo is ATX, not mATX. Jsut observed that my PC's 2nd PCIe slot is blocked by GPU as well. But I kept WiFi mobo as a compulsory when I was buying, so have a good WiFi 6 card on mobo with ext antennae kept on top.

I went with ATX mobo and added the wifi card in the bottom most slot. Try to get wired connection if possible.
It is possible mirror the PC desktop on the TV if both are connected to same wifi network.Right now I am doing the same and streaming football matches from PC to TV.

Sadly it does not have any extra slots, so currently I'm using a router as an extender. I have connected it to my main router wirelessly and to my PC through ethernet. Works almost perfectly, but as this router is 2.4G only, stuck on 30-40Mbps speeds, thinking to get a 5G router next year. Also sometimes I get ping drops which didn't happen before. Everything else works fine.

It is possible to mirror video, but I'm looking to mirror/stream games which seems like too much hassle.

That slot is not usable anymore, but using a router instead of a wifi card works flawlessly. I should've bought a 5G router only, instead of a 5k wifi card, which would've saved 2.5k.
