Hi I am planning to build a ultra small but powerful mini ITX pc which is very easy to carry around on flight journeys. My tasks includes virtualization, data processing, photo and video editing and casual gaming on high configs.

Pls suggest me some good mini ITX cases and where to find them. I searched but found only very few options on Indian e-stores. . It will be best if I find something similar to mac mini. My other choice is Lian li tu150.

I don't think there are many options for mini-ITX cases in India. Found these late last year as only good options.

Thank you. I am looking for much smaller cases. It seems I need to import. I donot actually understand why there is not much growth in the mini ITX segment in India.

Aside. Nice to see your reply@whitestar_999. I remember when you joined, back in 2011 when this forum was so much active.

Yeah mini-ITX cases are a niche in India with not many options & as for importing, it will be costly & you may probably have to wait 5-6 months because of the lockdown situation. Btw I suggest you to looking at some gaming laptops(with 1650 super/1660ti) which will be a much better option compared to carrying a mini-ITX on flights. @SaiyanGoku should know more about this.

:) Yeah 2011 was golden era & not just this forum but majority of similar sites used to be quite active but sadly nowadays all hype is on social media & reddit.

PC gaming itself is a bit niche topic in India. Not to forget Indians are poor relatively, parts cost more here & social stigma surrounding gaming. So, if demand isn't high, why launch products. Mini ITX is a niche category among PC builders, so no wonder Indian market lacks options. Maybe try to contact local shops. I once had a talk with a store in SP Road, Bangalore, who said he can get any part available in India, provided he's given time & even import one from outside (shipping & duties will be included).

As suggested earlier, gaming laptops are a good choice. That's why I have one as well. PC is no way easy to transport. Wait for Ryzen 4000 laptops. R5 4600H + GTX 1650 laptops would be great under 65k when it launches (just my assumption). R5 4600H performs similar to i7 9750H/10750H. At a higher budget, you might get R7 4800H + GTX 1660Ti, which would be a beast, maybe it will cost 90-100k, optimistically. Ryzen CPUs run cooler than Intel ones, for same cooling solution.

Hi Thank you. Can you name the shop in SP Road ? I will visit him if possible.
Laptop is good but the satisfaction of building something on your own is __( Fill in the blank. not getting the word )___ :D

Coming to Ryzen laptops, I believe it's better to wait and let this competition settle a bit. Waiting for Intel's answer to AMD.

That shop was New Attrib Systems, although if you are in Bengaluru, heard Golchha computers is a popular store. There are a lot of shops in SP Road dealing with PC parts, so go out one day once lockdown eases.

Intel's 10th gen is out as well, again these are hot CPUs like 8th & 9th gen. So, companies just need to provide more options with Ryzen 4000 CPUs. There were rumours of Intel kind of bribing laptop manufacturers.
